坤彩全力推进全球首套盐酸萃取法二氧化钛项目建设，这项独创的盐酸萃取法生产工艺在节能环保方面具备显著优势，长期来看，符合国家“碳达峰”“碳中和”的政策要求。工信部答复政协提案时表示，国家高度重视钛白粉产业发展，积极推进新工艺产业化和资源综合利用，未来或将二氧化钛纳入国家战略资源储备。在加快推进核心工艺攻关及新工艺试点方面，工信部将会同有关部门密切关注盐酸萃取法钛白粉工艺技术研发及产业化进展，稳步推进新工艺试点。
坤彩全资子公司正太新材料二氧化钛项目总投资达数十亿，于2019年下半年开工建设，原计划于2021年初建成部分产能投产，该项目在建设时与东南电化签订了氯化氢供应合同，2020年万华化学收购了东南电化相关项目并实施了技术改造和产业整合，公司被迫改变项目计划重新建设相关配套设施来应对氯化氢供应不足的问题，对该项目投产造成延误，年产20万吨二氧化钛及三氧化二铁项目已于2022年4月份投入正式生产。

A wholly-owned subsidiary of Kuncai, Zhengtai New Materials Co., its titanium dioxide project, with a total investment of billions, has recently been put into operation with an annual production capacity of 200,000 tonnes of titanium dioxide and iron oxide.
